Every day in clinic, I have conversations about skin health and ageing and this question comes up again and again.
The answer is yes, but …
Skin health requires more than collagen. Your skin is responding every day to its environment. UV light, pollution, stress, hormonal changes and lifestyle. This creates stress within the skin and accelerates collagen breakdown.
As a pharmacist prescriber, my thinking is always grounded in evidence not trends or quick fixes.
I wanted something I could confidently introduce into my clinic, alongside the treatments and medical grade skincare I offer.
When I looked at the information, many collagen brands were saying different things, often focusing on single ingredients or simplified explanations. For the consumer, it wasn’t always clear what was actually meaningful for the skin.

The Intelligent Formula
What became clear was that it wasn’t just about supplying the building blocks for collagen. It was also about helping to protect the skin from the daily stressors that contribute to its breakdown.
With that in mind, I wanted to formulate something that made sense for skin health.
Note just another collagen product, but a considered formulation. One that combined high-quality collagen with targeted support, chosen for how the ingredients work together, not just how they look on a label.
And that thinking shaped everything, even the name.
That’s what led me to look deeper.
The meaning behind the name
During the day, your skin is in defence mode. In the evening that begins to shift. Repair becomes more active. Your skin starts to restore what the day has taken.
Not only am I passionate about skin health, I simply adore Italy. The pace, the rhythm and the way things are done with a little more intention and I am learning the language too. So the name was carefully chosen.
